Jubilation as Mugabe Resigns

Image
Tears of Joy for Zimbabweans as President Robert #MugabeResigns. What does it take to remove a leader from a position he has held since 1980? For Zimbabwe, it took solidarity, action, faith, hope and strategic planning [politics]. It was when the military intervened that the world stood and watched everything unfold. Finally, President Robert Mugabe gave Zimbabwe a '2nd Independence'.  Today, Zimbabweans across the world see a brighter future. Change will happen, it may not be overnight but today, celebrations will take happen. Here are screenshots from twitter about #Zimbabwe #MugabeResigns: Again we wait to see: What's next for Zimbabwe?  Who will be the next Zimbabwean President? Mrs Grace Mugabe?  We all wait in anticipation… for now, celebrations!    21 November 2017 – A day not to be forgotten in Zimbabwe.

Don't tell me to smile, just stop harassing us!

"The world seems to turn a blind eye when they hurt,  man,  Some niggas can't express themselves to women, so they hurt them." (lyrics from Casper Nyovest's song Superman) So they hurt them. Then we say #MenAreTrash.  A friend of mine recently had a sexual harassment/indecent  assault incident a couple of weeks back. Last week during our Thursday chill evening around a bonfire she tells us her story. "Guys I had a very scary incident last week. I was on my way down stairs from work. (she works in a 8 storeys building, she is on the 6th floor). The lift had just been repaired so it still don't have lights. So I go into the lift with this guy from offices on the same floor. While in the dark lift this guy starts kissing and fondling me. In my mind I was kicking his balls and hitting him but in reality I laughed of fear, he laughed too and continued until the lift opened. I have never felt so dirty and worthless in my life. I go out of the lift, and smi...

Which type of bra do you like?

Image
Padded or non-padded bra?  Woman do dot like the same type of underwear and that's okay, we have a variety to choose from. While I was shopping for a bra a week ago I asked my friends, "Which one do you like?" un-padded and padded bra examples.  Heee! 👏😥 It was a long topic that never reached an end. I conclude right now that there are positives and negatives between padded and non-padded bras. Which bra is better than the other?   This is what I found on the internet about un-padded bra’s :  1.   They are sexier – they come in different form of material and colour.        2.   They are natural – they give the perception of the exact breast sizes.          3.  They give the same support – the underwire is what push ups the breast and give them shape not the padding.        4.   Comfortable – they are just comfortable. You sweat less, feel less pain a...

"Whatever road in life we choose, it's always a little easier with a new pair of shoes."- Unknown  A group photo with the children who received a pair of shoes.   Miss Swaziland 2nd Princess Baby Mthimkhulu handing out shoes. Last week Friday I was privileged to accompany Miss Swaziland 2 nd Princess Baby Mthimkhulu to donate school shoes at kaShewula, Mbhandzamane Primary School in Swaziland. First of all I did not know her, nor was I familiar with her name. We got to know each other along the way, she is a beauty with a purpose. Mbandzamane Primary School, at  kaShewula in Swaziland I was so happy and touched to learn about Baby’s journey on how she thought of the idea, how she asked people to give her shoes and the future.  Miss Cultural Heritage Sindiswa Dlamini was also there to give a hand.   I personally have never seen a school child go to school bare footed. It was my first time to witness this and it broke my he...

Team Joy brings Joy

Image
I have learned that through doing charitable activities out of love and expecting nothing in return brings peace and inner joy in my life. Therefore, I don't stop. Last year November I found a new home. The smiles from these 2 young girls from Emagubheleni primary school brings joy . Team Joy is a non-profit organisation which is run by my friends in the arts industry in Swaziland. Nicholas Mamba, a theatre practitioner with over 20 years experience (I wonder how old he is because he looks 25) is the country director for Team Joy Swaziland. The children singing a song on sugar daddies. I have seen these kids come to life after reciting a song/play they were taught  about sugar daddies. The song teaches the child to call the police on the number 999 when a man touches them in places (breasts and private parts) which they point out. It was a marvel to watch. The mandate of Team Joy Swaziland is to connect educators, child...

Hello my dear reader. I hope 2017 has been treating you well. 😊 Idea, design and pic by Bertha Sithole   Since the year began I have been inspired by so many things and I wrote about them. Let us go through this journey together. Learning is what makes us better, failure is part of the growth journey and faith is what keeps me going. Feel free to engage me in anything you want me to write about provided its in line with my vision.  Lets do #travel #fun #entertainment #Swaziland #Food #Art #Adventure #Life #Love #Fitness and #nature Until the next article feel free to follow me on Facebook by clicking here  http://bit.ly/2jlhrZE     ...
